Art direction, design
This is a proposed direction for Oswald & Ruby's website. O&R were a digital creative agency in Amsterdam for which I worked in 2008-09. The agency unfortunately filed for bankruptcy, and closed their doors in February 2009.
The concept behind the treatment was to build on the agency's rather cheeky name and brand, by giving visitors an intimate look at the agency from the inside, with humourous copy to support the brand voice. Each section would be represented by different full-bleed background photos of various people and rooms within the shop. Hovering the mouse cursor over people in the photos would have shown their names and job roles within O&R.
Visually, the layout is as open as possible, with lots of room to breathe, much like the interior of the agency's offices. This particular treatment also integrated content navigation within the photos themselves (along with the more traditional navigation at the top). For example, in the studio scene, clicking the printed artwork mounted on foam core boards on the right wall would have brought the user to the portfolio/case studies section.
